I am a team lead and Postdoctoral researcher at the Vicarios Lab in Advanced Robotics Research Line. My interests include telepresence and telerobotics, dynamic 3D reconstruction, haptics, and immersive technologies such as Augmented, Virtual, and Mixed Reality (AR/VR/MR). I also focus on gaze-contingent rendering and point cloud compression, aiming to enhance how we interact with robotic systems and improve their responsiveness and functionality.
Key Responsibility:
- Collaboration and Coordination: I coordinate novel research efforts with our PhD and Postdoctoral researchers.
- Perception & Localization: Designing real-time dynamic dense 3D reconstruction and scene understanding system via RGB-D camera to create maps and locations in the world.
- Visualization: Designing Immersive Telerobotics/ Telepresence visualization interfaces using 3D reconstructed scenes with modern virtual/Augmented reality (VR/AR) interfaces.
- Compression: Design and integration of Point cloud compression (PCC) techniques: G-PCC, and V-PCC.
